Frequently Asked Questions

Should I refrigerate my cake/cupcakes?
Buttercream cakes require refrigeration, whereas fondant cakes should not be placed in the fridge. Let your cake come to room temperature before cutting, usually 1-2 hours. ALL cakes should be kept out of direct sunlight in a cool dry spot, away from kids & animals

Is there any restrictions on flavour choice?

In the warmer months, any tiered cake is to be of a mud cake variety. As fondant cakes can not go in the fridge, a mud cake is needed for the extra stability. 


How far in advance should I place an order? 
In peak times, I book out quite early, so suggest enquiring as early as possible. A minimum of 3 weeks' notice is much appreciated, as this allows me time to source/prepare anything extra required. Orders are NOT confirmed until I have received your non-refundable deposit OR full payment if within the 3 weeks. 

Do you deliver &/or pick up?
Yes. I offer FREE delivery within a 5km radius of Spring Farm. Within Camden $10 - $15, within Macarthur $20 - $30
. Outside 15km is charged accordingly. Wedding cakes are DELIVERY ONLY and priced differently, as they require extra care with travelling & venue set up.


Pick up is from my home studio located in Spring Farm, with timeslots determined by me. Standard timeslots are Friday 4-7pm, Saturday 9-11am or 3-5pm AND Sunday 9.30-11am

You will receive an SMS 24-48hrs before your order date, which confirms pick up or delivery details. 

Is there a minimum order for cupcakes &/or cookies?
Yes. 1dozen standard sized cupcakes, 2 dozen mini sized cupcakes, 
1 dozen cookies.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, I can. Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free & vegan. Please advise me at ordering time of any allergies. 

I am not a 100% certified allergy free kitchen, but my practices are inline with Anaphylaxis Australia guidelines. 

Are you registered & fully insured? 
I am a registered home food premises with Camden Council, NSW and fully insured for $10,000,000 public liability.

I am NOT a shopfront and only bake to order. 


Do you supply cake toppers?
I have a collection of standard toppers to suit Birthdays, Weddings & Baby's. I can also order toppers from some fantastic local and interstate suppliers. The cost will always be advised if it's included or an extra charge. 
I do have floristry qualifications that help me with the preparation and storage of fresh seasonal flowers, to adhere to proper food standards. 

What is your pricing?
Every CharBella Cake is individually priced, depending on degree of design and time involved. 
For Weddings - 2tiers start from $400 for 40pax coffee sizing and 3tiers start from $700 for 60pax coffee sizing.

Standard Cookies & Cupcakes start from $4 each. 

How much cake do I need to feed …… people? 
A standard height 7” round cake will feed 12-15pax as dessert. 

Standard height is 2 layers of cake sandwiched with frosting, approx. 2.5” high.
Triple height is 3 layers of cake, approx. 4” high.
Extended height is 4 layers of cake, approx. 5.5” high.

Do you offer Flavours & Tasting consults?
Flavour choices can be found in the flavour album within this website. 
Tasting Boxes are available on the 1st Saturday of every month, except January, by pre booking only.

Small $35 box - contains 6 samples, Large $60 box - contains 1 dozen samples.
